Question:  How do you get a vegan out of bed early on a Sunday?
Answer:    Entice them with a photo of sensational vegan pancakes, of course!

And sensational they were indeed!  I’m so happy to have discovered the Swan Valley Cafe – another veg gem to add to my list of favourite cafes!  What better way to spend a sunny weekend morning than a drive to the country for brunch?  A vegan, gluten-free, fantastic value brunch, no less?

The café is large enough to cater for all your crazy friends, and quiet enough – among the vineyards and trees – to enjoy a quiet meal for two.  There is also a nursery attached, so you can even pick up a couple of plants while you’re there!  Talk about excellent multi-tasking!

There are a ton of gluten-free and vegan options on their menus and I have seen a photo of the vegan Ploughman’s Platter that has me incredibly excited about returning for lunch.  Oh, and did I mention they are fully licensed and have a variety of wines to choose from, including organic and vegan-friendly?!  Could it get any better?  Why yes, it could, thank you for asking: specialty herbal teas and organic coffee, healthy take-away foods and assorted frozen meals and soups!

So, you could  easily go for Saturday brunch and fill your esky with delicious take-aways to keep you out of the kitchen for the rest of the weekend!   Just sayin….. 😉
