I have wanted to go to the Raw Kitchen Cafe in Fremantle ever since my friend Ebeth gushed about having the most amazing pizza she’s ever had in her life there. Ebeth has travelled extensively. She eats just about anything. And RAW, VEGAN pizza was the best pizza she’s ever had??!! I just had to try this place, and yet for some reason the timing just never seemed to work out. I don’t live near Fremantle and somehow life conspired to keep me from trying this magical pizza.
Fast forward a few months (ok, about ten), and suddenly I’m vegan and writing a blog about fun vegan stuff around Perth. HELLO, what could be more fun than THE BEST PIZZA ON THE PLANET?!! I knew the time had come…
I called in my friend Shar, who lives near Freo and also raves about this cafe, and she was thrilled to meet me for a Friday Ladies Lunch! She brought her son with her too, but he’s only one year old, so is happy for the ladies to carry the conversation. 🙂
All I can say is: WOW! YES, the pizza is A.MAY.ZING, just as promised. A dehydrated flaxseed base topped with veggies, herbs, nut cheese and pepper, it is an amazing flavour sensation.
The Nacho’s were incredible also, and I had true plate envy watching a nearby lady eating the Zucchini Spaghetti.
The Cafe sell a lot of organic health foods too, so after our delectable lunch, I picked up some spirulina and raw chocolate to take home with me, as well as a piece of their amazing raw vegan cheesecake. What I really wanted to do, though, was go buy a bed, move in, and eat their food for the rest of my days…
