It’s no secret that freshly squeezed juice easily kicks bottled juice in the butt.
Fresh is brimming with sparkly vitamins.  Bottled is often filled with sugar and pasteurised to death.
So ramp up your juicer, baby, and give this orange, lemon, carrot and ginger juice a whirl!

It’s a zinger alright!  This one’s for you if you:

Here’s what just one glass will getcha:

Orange – Vitamins C, A, B6, thiamine, folate, calcium, magnesium, potassium, antioxidants.
Lemon – Vitamin C and antioxidants.
Ginger – Antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds.
Carrot – Vitamins A and K, B6, C and E, antioxidants, folate, thiamine, niacin, potassium and manganese.

Best of all?  You’ll feel all sparkly and can be that annoying person who smiles at everyone on the train in the mornings.  Or if you want to be more subtle about it, wait until you get to work and then start blinding everyone with your pearly whites.

Orange, Lemon, Carrot & Ginger Zinger Juice

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Oranges peeled
  • 1 Lemon peeled
  • 1- inch piece of Ginger peeled
  • 10 – 12 carrots ends trimmed

Optional Extras

  • Dash of Cayenne Pepper to really wake you up!
  • 2 handfuls Kale the colour won’t be pretty but you’ll feel amazing

Instructions
 

  • Push all ingredients through a juicer.
  • Pour into glasses and enjoy!

    Ohhh, yum. I’m hoping to get a juicer soon (saving the funds as we speak), and this is definitely on the list. Citrus + ginger are my favourites!

      Hi Suzanne, I like to use the smaller carrots, but you can use any size. Larger ones will make more juice and more carrot flavour. 🙂

    Can’t get a juicer at the moment but a rest. near me makes this and I am wanting to make it for myself at home!! I have become obsessed!! Can you use carrot juice and a blender?

      haha, yes, you sure could, Kate. Freshly juiced is best, but you can whizz up store-bought carrot juice with 1 orange, half a lemon, and some grated fresh ginger in your blender. Enjoy! xx
