OK, so I may not be living the Pro Blogger dream just yet 😉 but that hasn’t deterred me from wanting to hang out with creative types in the hope that some of their magic will rub off on me. Where better to bump elbows with people who are living the artistic dream than at the Perth Upmarket? A quarterly market with over 150 stall-holders showing off their original and handcrafted goodies – yes please!

The winter sunshine was very popular…

Upmarket’s rather regal looking home – Winthrop Hall at UWA…

Spot the duck…

You said it, sista…

Vegan cupcakes make me happy. Thanks Kustom Cupcakes for coming to the party.

My fave stall of the day (non-cupcake-related) was Twice Loved – clocks, decorations and jewellery made from upcycled china plates. How tough would it be to work with china? If I worked there they’d go broke from breakages. I love this idea and I’m so happy that my beautiful friend Ro found this store first and spoiled me with this gorgeous ring from their collection for my birthday back in April. I have great friends. 🙂

Another stall I adored was Buttonologie – fabric-covered button bookmarks, magnets and jewellery. My beautiful friend Kyllie bought me one of their bookmarks a little while back and it gives me warm fuzzies whenever I’m reading. How cute are they?

The next Upmarket is 23rd September. Mark your calendar! 🙂

I love that picture of you with the cupcake- you’re so pretty! And so is the cupcake! 😉

It looks like a lovely day and a fun event! I always love seeing how crafty people can get- I can spend hours on Etsy if I’m not careful!

I used to study at UWA but I’ve never heard of the Perth Upmarket before; sounds like fun! I’ll definitely have to check it out sometime… especially if there’s vegan cupcakes to be had! 🙂

Kristy is right, that cupcake looks tasty and you’re very photogenic!

aawww, thank you, and YES get on down there to check it out! They are held every quarter and are worth the pilgrimage for the vegan cupcakes alone. hehe 🙂

Oooooo!! I have never been to Perth. I live on the Gold Coast. I really want to to visit Perth. I am thinking about a trip soon! 🙂 I would love some tips on where to go!

ooooh, come on over Madison! 🙂 Rottnest Island is probably my favourite touristy thing to do around Perth but there are heaps of other things to see and do too. Visit during summer if you can because the beaches are gorgeous.
