Do you ever dream about being a professional blogger? I do. Only all the time. Oh, to spend all of my days writing, photographing and creating! In the short time I have spent writing this blog I have completely fallen in love with it. So much so that I decided to book a week of annual leave just to see what it would be like. It is therefore amidst great fanfare and jubilation (TA DAAA!) that I announce that as of tomorrow I will officially be a Professional Blogger for 9 days straight! Wooooooo! Just for fun.
The question is – will I stay motivated, focused and bang out amazing posts at record speed, or will I flounder around the house in my pyjamas all day and waste inordinate amounts of time plucking my eyebrows and pondering my navel? Time will tell. All I can say is that I am feeling PUMPED, excited, inspired and READY to delve into my dream career – if only for one week.
In preparation for this magical dive into the unknown I have spent this week rewiring my brain as an élite writing and dream-catching machine by reading a heap of affirmations and inspiring articles. If you build it, they will come. My inner hippie-dreamboat loved these articles in particular:
12 Things Happy People Do Differently
10 Enemies of Personal Greatness
Dare to Dream and Create Your Own Success
Thank you also to Luminous Vegans for sharing this beautiful video today – Astrophysicist Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s response to TIME magazine’s question “What is the most astounding fact that you can share with us about the universe?”.
Catch you on the flip side, everyone!
Have a beautiful weekend, wish me luck, and dare to dream. ♥••*´¨`*•.☆•

Oh wow, I LOVE the video. I also LOVE the ’12 things happy people do differently’ especially this: “If you feel called to compare yourself to something, compare yourself to an earlier version of yourself”. Thank you so much for sharing!
My pleasure! They are beautiful articles, aren’t they, and I love that part too. 🙂
I too share your dream 🙂 Maybe one day!
Let’s do it together, Gabby! We can say we knew each other back when… 🙂
Deal!! Hope you are enjoying your week of pro blogging 🙂
So awesome, love that you’re taking the time off work to do this 🙂 I have 4-5 weeks off from school starting the end of next week and I am very much looking forward to diving head-first into blogging and all the reviews that have piled up. If you are interested I would love you to do a guest post and I have just the topic for you that you might be interested in! Shoot me an email: info@wellnesswa.com.au – I’m also headed to Aisuru tonight based on your review 🙂 x
WHOOHOO!! I hope you guys loved Aisuru as much as we did and I would absolutely LOVE to do a guest post, Annette!! I’m heading over to mail you right meow!! 🙂
Hey Bec! I love your blog! I have nominated you for the Illuminating Blogger Award, you can find details at the following link (http://foodstoriesblog.com/illuminating-blogger-award/). I’ve also included a short blurb on why I love your blog on my veggie food blog, http://www.tofudie.com – Lisa xx
YAYYY!!! 🙂 Thank you so much, Lisa! I am tickled pink and I love your blog too!! Heading over now to check it out! xx
Great idea!! I’d love to have more time actually creating and testing recipes so they are the best I can put forward but theres never enough time! I may take a blogging week off next year hehe (used all my holiday this year now woops!) hope you have fun and looking forward to seeing what you come up with 🙂 x
Thanks Becky! 🙂 And I know what you mean about there never being enough time to do all of the recipes properly – there are so many ideas that I abandon because I’m too tired at the end of the day to take photos of my dinner before I eat it! Here’s to a week of slow food! (and I’m still thinking about your holiday/festival pics, so you used your leave wisely, anyway!) xx
Sounds like so much fun! I’ve seen posts about less than navel ponderings so feel free to share whatever is on your mind 🙂 Enjoy!
bahaha, so have I and I still enjoy reading them for some reason. Humans are strange creatures, aren’t we! 🙂 Thank you for the encouragement!
Looking forward to the upcoming posts and inspiration! Have fun with it! 😉
Thanks Shira! Fingers crossed. 😉
I love what you’re doing! Every step you take towards your dream creates your destiny. Looking forward to see how your destiny unfolds- even if it is just thoughts regarding your navel. 🙂
hehe, thanks Kristy! And I believe that, too. I also started a ‘Vision Board’ on Pinterest that I can add to and look at each day to get clarity on exactly the direction I want my life to take. Bring it on, universe! 🙂
Bring it on! 🙂
How fun! Enjoy the 9 days. I’ll be tuning in. Thanks for those links!
My pleasure and I’d LOVE to have you along for the ride! 🙂
Dude, you can totally go pro! I believe in you my friend!!!
Nawww, thank you!!! 🙂
😉
Yay! Looking forward to seeing and reading about your experiences.
