Vegan MoFo and My Veganniversary!September 30th, 2012 38 comments
Whoohoo baby, I made it! It was one year ago – on October 1st 2011 – that I made the decision and commitment to become vegan.
During that first month when I was suffering from huge cheese monster cravings, I stumbled across an on-line event called Vegan MoFo – The Vegan Month of Food – where vegan bloggers worldwide devote themselves to furiously writing about all things related to vegan food for one month. Genius! This event was such a huge help to me when I needed it most. At the time I didn’t know any vegans personally and I adored reading along with these amazing vegan bloggers who inspired me with their creativity and positivity every day. Many of the blogs I discovered during that month I still follow and love today.
That’s why I am so excited to be able to give back this year and do some Vegan MoFo blogging of my own, potentially and hopefully helping other people who are toying with the idea or are just curious about veganism.
* Cue Sparkles! *
So the big question is… will I be able to blog every day throughout Vegan MoFo? It’s a big call but baby, I’m up for the challenge and I have a secret weapon. *wink* A good luck charm arrived in the post the other day from my gorgeous sister…
Yup, it’s official. I have the best sister in the world. It’s stirling silver, hand-made by these guys and comes with built-in super blogging powers and love.
I rocked it down at the beach today and brainstormed a Vegan MoFo theme…
And the Vegan Sparkles Vegan MoFo theme for 2012 shall be… *drum roll please*… ‘Fast, fresh and simple’!
Because you’re busy, right? But you still want to feel amazing and have skin that glows so much, everyone wonders what you’ve been up to.
So tomorrow and throughout Vegan MoFo I will bring you a heap of fast, fresh and simple vegan recipes to make you sparkle from the inside out! Start your engines! xx
