Love in the Blogosphere ♥May 22nd, 2012 19 comments
Oh my wow, where do the days go?? I just realised that it’s just over six months since *Vegan Sparkles* moved from Tumblr to WordPress!
HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY, BLOGGY! *cue glitter and streamers!*
I’m pretty excited by that milestone because I remember reading when we first moved over (via my very first Plug-In, wooo!) that most bloggers quit within the first year. I remember thinking: I really hope that won’t be me.
Thankfully, 6 months in, I am still having a ball and only loving it more each day. ♥
The absolute best part about blogging? Meeting other bloggers who totally rock my world with their creative tips and amazing recipes and ideas! I started this blog to help show my friends, family and colleagues that there are heaps of amazing vegan food options out there and that vegans aren’t freaks (at least, not all the time). I had no idea I would meet so many amazing and inspiring vegan bloggers along the way.
That’s why I am SO thrilled and honoured to have recently received the Liebster Blog Award from Holly at My Plant Based Family, the Kreativ & Sunshine Blog Awards from Kristy at KeepInItKind, and the One Lovely Blog Award from Becky at VegHotPot - all of which are now proudly on display in my
Pool Room ‘Links & Info Page’. I absolutely adore all of these blogs. If you haven’t checked them out already, RUN, don’t walk. I constantly have at least a dozen of their recipes bookmarked to try and all of their photos are completely drool-worthy.
And in the interests of paying it forward, I would love to pass the blog award love on to these fabulous blogs: Animal Psychology, The Bear & The Blackberry, Veggie Nook, Joy in the Day, Olive on Blonde, Vegan Charlie, Veggieful and An Unrefined Vegan (I’m still in awe of Annie’s incredible pot luck organising skills in bringing us all together!).
Also in Blogosphere News today, my very first guest post on another vegan blog is now up over at Vegan Bloggers Unite! You can check it out here. Go on, get your green disco on! Dance like only bloggers are watching.
Last but not least, for Bloggy’s half birthday I gave her a new logo for her Facebook Page. What do you think?
Happy Tuesday, everyone! xx

Never Miss A Beat!
I dare you to read Bex’ blog without smiling… Miss Sparkles is a breath of fresh air who just inspires with her contagiously happy personality and her insanely delicious recipes.
Mouth watering photos, inspired recipes and a really genuinely lovely personality. Oh and I love the Star Wars/Sci Fi references dotted throughout, so fun!BeckyVeg Hot Pot
Bex is an incredible beauty, who is probably the cutest person I’ve ever met. She radiates positivity so much that she glows, or dare I say, sparkles. I am even more obsessed with Bex and her blog now.KristyKeepin It Kind
This girl is a like a breath of fresh air. I love her bubbly personality and her love of delicious, healthy vegan food. Did I mention she is an awesome Aussie!LisaThe Raw Serenity
Rebecca posts awesome recipes and witty repartee, she is a brilliant photographer as well.
I love this blog for the density of information Rebecca delivers in a witty, fun way. Her blog’s title intrigued me and the content didn’t disappoint. It’s also chock full of great links that have been extremely helpful.
I love this blog not only for her awesome recipes, but also as a testament to how cool it is to commune with someone a half a world away (she’s in Australia, I’m in Colorado, USA).
I love Rebecca’s site. She looks so beautiful and her posts are so down-to-earth and fun. Vegan Sparkles is just an all-round cool site!MadisonVeggieful
Ms. Sparkles is an adorable Australian… We made the Cashew Cream of Mushroom soup and the Moroccan Sweet Potato Chickpea soup. Both were incredible! Vegan or no, you must try them!CatherineThe Catherine Blog
A cheerful vegan blog with great recipes and photos I would like to eat!
Vegan Sparkles makes me want to go Perth! She has probably won The Sunshine Award a dozen times but she’s just too adorable to leave out of this list.LindsayLindsay is Vegan
