Love in the Blogosphere ♥May 22nd, 2012 19 comments

Oh my wow, where do the days go??  I just realised that it’s just over six months since *Vegan Sparkles* moved from Tumblr to WordPress!

HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY, BLOGGY!    *cue glitter and streamers!*

I’m pretty excited by that milestone because I remember reading when we first moved over (via my very first Plug-In, wooo!) that most bloggers quit within the first year.  I remember thinking: I really hope that won’t be me.

Thankfully, 6 months in, I am still having a ball and only loving it more each day.  ♥

The absolute best part about blogging?  Meeting other bloggers who totally rock my world with their creative tips and amazing recipes and ideas!  I started this blog to help show my friends, family and colleagues that there are heaps of amazing vegan food options out there and that vegans aren’t freaks (at least, not all the time).  I had no idea I would meet so many amazing and inspiring vegan bloggers along the way.

That’s why I am SO thrilled and honoured to have recently received the Liebster Blog Award from Holly at My Plant Based Family, the Kreativ & Sunshine Blog Awards from Kristy at KeepInItKind, and the One Lovely Blog Award from Becky at VegHotPot - all of which are now proudly on display in my Pool Room ‘Links & Info Page’.  :-)  I absolutely adore all of these blogs.  If you haven’t checked them out already, RUN, don’t walk.  I constantly have at least a dozen of their recipes bookmarked to try and all of their photos are completely drool-worthy.

And in the interests of paying it forward, I would love to pass the blog award love on to these fabulous blogs: Animal Psychology, The Bear & The Blackberry, Veggie Nook, Joy in the Day, Olive on Blonde, Vegan Charlie, Veggieful and An Unrefined Vegan (I’m still in awe of Annie’s incredible pot luck organising skills in bringing us all together!).

Last but not least, for Bloggy’s half birthday I gave her a new logo for her Facebook Page.  What do you think? :-)

    I should totally be sleeping but no what am I doing dorking it up on wordpress reading blogs in bed lol. I am so glad you left tumblr for wordpress I wouldn’t have gotten a chance to read your awesome blog if you didn’t. I think the new logo looks awesome happy 6 month mark :D I always look forward to your posts, keep up the awesome work <3

      Thanks Anna. Almost! hehe, I used a printer’s design template thingy and just made changes to one of their existing templates. :-)
