Funky Pies. Eco-funky, vegan deliciousness. When in Perth, I get my fix from PAWS, but what could be better than visiting the Funky Pies HQ in Bondi? Summer sun, Bondi Beach, organic drinks, and vegan pies… oh hellooooo bliss!!
My favourite is the G’Day Satay (pumpkin, kumera & potato in a spicy satay sauce), but when at HQ, you mix it up a bit, right?
After much deliberation and in the name of research and adventure, we finally chose the Funky Chunky (shiitake chunks in a rich gravy with a touch of creamy mash) and the Spicy Thai Pie (chicken-style chunks with fresh mushrooms and spinach in a mildly spicy Thai sauce), as well as one of the vegan ‘sausage’ rolls. As always, they were all just as sensational as the view of Bondi Beach from Icebergs!
They have a heap of other flavours too, so if you haven’t yet tried one, put your surfboard down for long enough to get one into your belly!!
