Swan Valley CafeDecember 29th, 2011 2 comments
Question: How do you get a vegan out of bed early on a Sunday?
Answer: Entice them with a photo of sensational vegan pancakes, of course!
And sensational they were indeed! I’m so happy to have discovered the Swan Valley Cafe - another veg gem to add to my list of favourite cafes! What better way to spend a sunny weekend morning than a drive to the country for brunch? A vegan, gluten-free, fantastic value brunch, no less?
The café is large enough to cater for all your crazy friends, and quiet enough – among the vineyards and trees – to enjoy a quiet meal for two. There is also a nursery attached, so you can even pick up a couple of plants while you’re there! Talk about excellent multi-tasking!
There are a ton of gluten-free and vegan options on their menus and I have seen a photo of the vegan Ploughman’s Platter that has me incredibly excited about returning for lunch. Oh, and did I mention they are fully licensed and have a variety of wines to choose from, including organic and vegan-friendly?! Could it get any better? Why yes, it could, thank you for asking: specialty herbal teas and organic coffee, healthy take-away foods and assorted frozen meals and soups!
So, you could easily go for Saturday brunch and fill your esky with delicious take-aways to keep you out of the kitchen for the rest of the weekend! Just sayin…..

Bex is an incredible beauty, who is probably the cutest person I’ve ever met. She radiates positivity so much that she glows, or dare I say, sparkles. I am even more obsessed with Bex and her blog now.KristyKeepin It Kind

Rebecca posts awesome recipes and witty repartee, she is a brilliant photographer as well.
I love this blog for the density of information Rebecca delivers in a witty, fun way. Her blog’s title intrigued me and the content didn’t disappoint. It’s also chock full of great links that have been extremely helpful.
I love this blog not only for her awesome recipes, but also as a testament to how cool it is to commune with someone a half a world away (she’s in Australia, I’m in Colorado, USA).
I love Rebecca’s site. She looks so beautiful and her posts are so down-to-earth and fun. Vegan Sparkles is just an all-round cool site!MadisonVeggieful
Ms. Sparkles is an adorable Australian… We made the Cashew Cream of Mushroom soup and the Moroccan Sweet Potato Chickpea soup. Both were incredible! Vegan or no, you must try them!CatherineThe Catherine Blog
